I’m Carlie, the creative chaos coordinator behind Messy Rainbows! ✨

I’m a mum, a maker of mess, and a big believer that tamariki learn best when they’re free to explore, create, squish, splash, and get gloriously messy! Whether it’s glittery potions, muddy monster trails, or colourful sensory explosions, (I’m here for all of it).

Messy Rainbows was born from my love of hands-on, playful learning and the pure joy that comes from seeing little ones light up as they dive into something squishy, slimy, or sparkly (sometimes all at once 😄).

I have a background in special education (across all ages) and the healthcare sector, which has helped shape Messy Rainbows into a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for every child. I wanted to create a place that’s welcoming to everyone, full of laughs, creativity, and completely stress-free. A space where families can connect, where kids are free to be curious and messy, and where grownups can relax and enjoy the moment.

Every session is thoughtfully planned with love, imagination, and just the right amount of chaos. No pressure, no perfection, just open-ended play that lets our tamariki take the lead.
